SqEK (Squatting Europe Kollektive, later Squatting Everywhere Kollektive) was a transnational collective and network of academics and activists working on the phenomenon of squatting in a variety of fields, which include urban studies, sociology, political science, anthropology, geography and history.

SQEK Meetings & Conferences (2009–2018)

From 2009 to 2018, a meeting was held every year in a different European city with almost 200 participants, who were brought up to date on the situation of squats, squares and social centers almost everywhere in the world with short presentations and field reports: Prague (2017), Rotterdam (2016), Barcelona (2015), Rome (2014), Paris (2013), New York City (2012), Madrid (2012), Copenhagen (December 2011), Amsterdam (minisqek, 2011), Berlin (2011), London (2010), Milan (2009), Madrid (2009).
